ABOUT OUR
DEPARTMENT
OCESD3 provides services to the non-incorporated sections of north Orange County and Little Cypress Community. Our services include responses to calls for service for fire suppression, and motor vehicle collisions as well as responding to calls for emergency medical services to assist in the care of the sick and injured as well as rescuing and protecting people in the event of other emergencies and natural disasters.
Our combination of paid and volunteer staff are highly trained professionals who have a strong desire to be of service and help our community. We will ensure that we will perform at a high level of core competencies to safely do our part to protect the lives and property of our citizens.
OCESD3
HISTORY
Serving Little Cypress
Since 1961
The Little Cypress Volunteer Fire Department was created in March 1961 by proactive citizens in the Kinard Estates Subdivision. The Volunteer Department grew along with the community of Little Cypress to the point that the citizens realized that the department needed more resources to be able to continue to provide services so in 2001-2002 the process of becoming an Emergency Services District in the State of Texas was completed and OCESD3 was born.
